Decals for walls, glass, vehicles and equipment
Decal stickers are used wherever a design needs to look like part of the surface it sits on. Businesses apply them to shopfront glass and reception walls, sporting clubs add them to equipment and vehicles, and families use them to decorate a child's bedroom or a feature wall. Trade and hobby users put them on tool cases, trailers and machinery for identification or branding.
Choosing the right decal for the job
- Wall decals – quotes, room names and decorative shapes for homes, schools and offices.
- Window decals – logos, trading hours and promotions on glass.
- Vehicle decals – branding and graphics for cars, vans and trailers.
- Equipment decals – marking tools, cases and gear with a name or number.
Shapes and outlines
The range includes die cut decals shaped to the artwork, plus round, oval, square, rectangular, octagon and hexagon options. Die cut decals are often preferred when the look should be clean, without a visible background shape. A standard outline helps when the decal carries a block of information such as a notice or contact details.
Why the surface matters
A decal meant for an interior wall has different requirements from one meant for a trailer panel. Textured finishes, low-energy plastics and curved surfaces all affect how a decal sits. When you describe the surface, the setting and how long you expect the decal to stay in place, a suitable material can be recommended in the quote.

Questions
Decals Sticker FAQs
What is the difference between a decal and a regular sticker?
The terms overlap. People tend to say decal when the design is cut to its outline or lettering and applied to a hard surface such as a wall, window or vehicle panel, with little background around it. A sticker often has a printed background shape. If you are unsure which you want, describe the look in your quote request.
What surface details should I give for a decal quote?
Say whether the decal goes on glass, a painted wall, powder-coated metal, plastic or something textured, and whether it will be indoors or outside. Freshly painted walls should be left to cure before anything is applied. With that information we will recommend a suitable material in your quote instead of guessing.
How do I apply a large decal without trapping bubbles?
Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry. Position the decal, run a strip of masking tape across the middle as a hinge, then peel the backing from one half and smooth it down from the centre outwards with a squeegee or plastic card. Repeat on the other half and remove the tape.
Can decals be used for opening times on a shopfront window?
Yes, trading hours, logos and contact details are a common shopfront job. Tell us whether the decal will be applied on the outside of the glass or read through it from inside, because that changes how the artwork is set up. The orientation will be visible on your proof so you can check it.
