A candle label has two jobs: carry the look of your brand and hold the details a buyer wants, from scent and size to safety wording. Plan the label around the vessel
- Jar or tumbler: measure the straight section of glass and allow a gap so the label ends do not meet.
- Tin: a round lid label is often easier to spot on a shelf than a side label.
- Base label: a small sticker underneath can hold batch details and safety text, keeping the front clean.
Heat, wax and fragrance oils can change how a label behaves, especially close to the rim. Share the container type and label position, and your quote will include a material suggestion. Testing a few finished candles before a full production run is a good habit.

Most makers include the brand name, scent, net weight and a burning safety message. Check the consumer product rules that apply to the candles you sell, and supply final wording so the layout is right first time. Each scent can be a separate design on the same quote.

What information should go on a candle label?
Most makers include the brand, scent name, net weight and a short safety message, such as keeping a lit candle in sight and away from children and pets. Check the consumer product rules that apply to your range so the wording is correct. Supply the text in your quote request and we will lay it out, or send finished artwork.
How do I size a label for a curved candle jar?
Measure the straight-sided section of the jar where the label will sit, both top to bottom and around the circumference, and leave a gap so the ends do not overlap. Tapered jars need a curved label shape, so mention the taper. Sending a photo or the jar model helps us check dimensions before the proof is prepared.
Will the heat of a burning candle affect the label?
Heat, fragrance oils and wax can all affect labels, particularly near the rim of the vessel. Tell us the container type, where the label will sit and how close it is to the flame, and we will recommend a material in your quote. It is sensible to test a few labelled candles through a full burn before a large run.
Do I need separate candle labels for each scent?
Not necessarily. Some makers print one label per scent, while others use a shared front design with a small scent sticker added on the lid or base. List the scents and the quantity for each in your quote request, and every version will appear on your PDF proof to check.
